OH WOW A PERSON!

hmmm, this seems like a kind of difficult question, because Ihave lived with them sooooooo long, I have kind of gotten used to all the fur. but I’ll try the best I can to sympathize with someone whose never had a cat before… hmmmm… I’m not sure about the shedding rate of one cat, because there’s like 6 in the house currently, but even at that, there’s really not that much hair all over considering we never brush our cats. cats, when they get out of the curious kitten stage, tend to like specific places, in the experience I have with cats. so if anything, there would only be a few places you really had to clean if there gets too much hair. I would probably get a good lint picker-upper thing, like those sticky paper things, it’s really effective in getting cat hair off things like furniture. short hair would be the best bet if you’re not wanting a lot of hair. (other than hairless, but they are expensive pure breeds, usually.)

I should do some research and become a tumblr cat guru, because really, this is just all from experience and there’s no science behind it.

I do have to say that cats are WAAAAAAAY less messy than dogs, I mean, they know where to poop when they’re born and they clean themselves.

even if you do have to clean up all its hair, in the end, it’s really all worth it. that little kitty will love you so much, it’ll know when you’re sad and come rub its face on your face and you’ll just have to smile.

also, ADOPT! if you have any shelters in the area, try to save one from a kill shelter!!
